We offer straws which are fully organic, 100% compostable, unlike other types of straws that use chemicals. Smooth and tasteless on your lips and tongue Rice Straws offer a better and cleaner drinking experience, a must try. Our natural colours, will pair perfectly to the colour and ingredients of your drink. Impressing the customer with a simple rice straw, making the drink taste natural and more vibrant, may seem small, but the attention goes a long way.

How long do they last

Rice straws have excellent water resistance perfectly suitable for continued use, without any new taste, such as sogginess. Their durability depends on the temperature of the beverage:

  • Cold water (0–10°C): 8–10 hours
  • Normal water (25–37°C): 6–9 hours
  • Warm water (45–90°C): 2–4 hours

They are perfect for enjoying a wide range of drinks, including whiskey, smoothies, milk tea, and fruit juices!

Comparisons to other Straws

Biodegradable Plastic - they pollute the environment, can leave microplastic residue and can't easily be recycled, being less sustainable.

Paper - They usually contain chemicals for coating for example. PFAS are harmful chemicals to health.
Qualitywise paper straws become soggy and unusable very quickly and always have an unpleasant taste, leading to a less positive experience.
The texture and colour of paper doesn't complement the drink.

Pasta - They contain gluten making them unsuitable for customers with gluten allergies, not universal.

Metal/Glass - Can break easily and require washing, which might not be suitable, and customers usually prefer single use for sanitary reasons.

Other sustainable alternatives - tend to offer less durability and some contain other non universal ingredients such as wheat.
